In August 2024, with the support and encouragement of my friends, I launched my Etsy shop, Print Play Innovations, with the goal of simply making enough money to support my 3D printing hobby.
A slow start
As expected, my shop started off slowly—it’s always tough getting noticed in the beginning. To get things moving, I realized the importance of building trust and credibility. I reached out to friends, encouraging them to purchase a few items and leave honest reviews. Their feedback not only gave me valuable insights but also helped boost my shop’s visibility and attract new customers. It was a great way to kick-start my journey and build momentum!

First Sale
I made my first sale on 8/27/2024 to Madi.
First Real Sale
I made my first real sale to someone I did not know on 9/4/24 to someone in Michigan.
First Review
I received my first five-star review on 9/11/24. Since then, I have received 24 five-star reviews.
50 Sales
I broke 50 sales sometime in November of 2024.
80-98 Total Sales
Etsy says I have made 98 sales, but my records show I’ve made 80. So I guess its somewhere in between.
$839.61 Gross Total
I only got about half of this, and I promptly turned around and spent it on more 3D printing materials.
Life has gotten quite busy, so I’ve made the decision to pause my Etsy shop for now. I hope to return in the near future!
